08 Nov 2019 - We have just concluded what I believe has been two weeks of successful discussions. As you remember, we opened with a formal launch last Wednesday that went very well, then the large body of 150 continued discussions about constitutional ideas and principles and how that could help to create a new constitutional arrangement for Syria.
07 Nov 2019 - At Thursday’s Humanitarian Task Force meeting in Geneva, Ms. Najat Rochdi and the UN senior humanitarian leadership in Damascus, Amman and Gaziantep briefed members of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) on the overall humanitarian situation in Syria and conducted advocacy on several specific issues related to protection of civilians and humanitarian access.
01 Nov 2019 - Pursuant to the “Terms of Reference and Core Rules of Procedure for a Syrian-owned, Syrian-led, credible, balanced and inclusive Constitutional Committee facilitated by the United Nations in Geneva” agreed between the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic and the Syrian Negotiations Committee announced by the Secretary-General on 23 September 2019 and welcomed by the Security Council on 8 October 2019, the Constitutional Committee was formally launched on 30 Octob
01 Nov 2019 - Good evening. I’m impressed to see all of you here so late. Thank you. We have just concluded a meeting of the Large Body. We had, as you all remember, a very good opening session on Wednesday. I think it was dignified, solemn and that we rose to the historic occasion. The last two days have also been very good. We, of course, all know that after eight and a half years of conflict, there are deep differences, a lot of suspicion, and a lack of trust.

Actually, as we are speaking the 150 members of the Constitutional Committee are arriving here in Geneva.
As you know we have agreed that this is to be a Syrian-led, Syrian-owned Constitutional process– facilitated by the United Nations and I think Jenifer already mentioned it will be launched here on Wednesday, this Wednesday, I will get back to that.

11 Oct 2019 - At Thursday’s Humanitarian Task Force meeting in Geneva, Senior Humanitarian Adviser Najat Rochdi emphasized the need for protection of civilians in Syria’s northeast and for Member States to ensure that humanitarian needs across Syria are met.
