The members of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) established a ceasefire task force (CTF) “to take immediate steps to secure the full support of all parties to the conflict for a cessation of hostilities”. The CTF is Co-chaired by the Russian Federation and the United States of America, and comprised of the twenty-seven members of the ISSG. The CTF convenes in Geneva and the Office of the Special Envoy for Syria serves as its secretariat.
