Mr. Pedersen: I was very pleased with the broad support to my five priorities from the Security Council. I am sure you listened just as carefully as I did to that.
Mr. Pedersen: First of all, as you know, I was here to have consultations with the Astana Guarantors - so I had good discussions with the Russians, the Iranians and the Turks and also with others.

Q: Regarding your latest briefing to the UN Security Council, and the global tour you have made, I would like to ask you about the latest outcomes of such meetings, as a first question.
So I had two days of good discussions here in Damascus. We discussed a wide range of issues, of course first thing on the implementation of Security Council resolution 2254.
Today, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir O. Pedersen, met with the Women’s Advisory Board (WAB) in Geneva.
Mr. Pedersen: So, good to see you.
Mr. Pedersen: As you know I have been travelling rather extensively and of course [I felt] my first duty, was to go to Damascus and to discuss with the government and then to go on to Riyadh to discuss with the SNC.
The efforts to establish a constitutional committee have been the subject of continuing consultations.
